The Emergency Department is half-empty,

and there are no patients in the waiting room!

Acting director for the ED championed for a pager for me,

and got one in seconds.

My supervisor took months and still failed.

Now i will be paged whenever there is a Code.

The top 2 personnel in the hireachy are now panicking over my project’s lack of progress.

They have also enlisted the help of the Chief nurse,

who will be informing every nurse under his charge,

including the lead nurse of each shift about my project.

I really appreciate that gesture.

Nurses are always over-worked,

and they treat me (as in not personally,

but we,

as medical students)

with contempt,

for increasing their workload

by requesting they fill in questionnaires for us.

I think i shall head home early today.

Re-think how i should go about carrying out my project.

I am sick of sitting around.

And i need to read finish my book;

was due to complete it yesterday,

and start on another today!
